Description
Day 1 – Tuesday 11th August 2026
Our adventure starts in Vancouver, the bustling jewel of Canada’s west coast. After arriving at the International Airport you will be met for the short walk to the beautifully appointed 5 star Fairmont Vancouver.
This award-winning luxury hotel is attached to the terminal. Time to relax after the flight, shower and change. In the early evening, rendevous with your fellow adventurers and hosts to discuss the exciting journey ahead. We will raise our glasses with welcome drinks and canapes to celebrate the start of this unforgettable tour.
Day 2 – Wednesday 12th August 2026
After waking on your first morning in Canada, enjoy a sumptuous breakfast before being transferred by luxury coach for the scenic drive to Fairmont Chateau Whistler.
This route is considered one of the most beautiful drives in the world, taking you from the urban energy of downtown Vancouver to the alpine serenity of Whistler. We will follow the edge of Howe Sound, ascend through coastal rainforest and pass dramatic waterfalls, mountain peaks and stunning viewpoints.
As we climb into Whistler Valley, the forest opens to reveal the alpine village and the iconic Fairmont Chateau Whistler and our adventure shifts into mountain mode. Since opening its doors in 1989, this hotel has become a landmark in Canadian hospitality. Rising from the forested base of Blackcomb Mountain it is built in the style of a classic chateau and has welcomed royalty, athletes and travellers from around the world all drawn by its combination of natural beauty and world-class amenities.
Day 3 – Thursday 13th August 2026
After enjoying breakfast, its time for our first round of golf in this amazing landscape.
Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and attached to our hotel, the Chateau Whistler Golf Club is one of the most scenic and challenging courses in Western Canada. Carved into the natural alpine terrain with minimal disruption to the land, players are treated to a journey through towering Douglas fir forests, glacier-fed creeks, granite outcrops and dramatic elevation changes of over 400 feet all against the majestic backdrop of the Coast Mountain range. Watch out for the wildlife, as its not uncommon to spot black bears, deer or eagles during your round!
After golf, we will return to the hotel where we will enjoy our first group dinner of the tour.
Day 4 – Friday 14th August 2026
Following breakfast together at the hotel, get set for another unforgettable round of golf.
Set alongside the shimmering, glacier-fed Green Lake and framed by Whistler’s snow-dusted peaks, Nicklaus North Golf Course is a masterclass in alpine elegance and championship design. Created by Jack Nicklaus himself – and one of only five signature courses bearing his name in Canada – this layout blends the raw beauty of British Columbia’s wilderness with the refined touch of one of golf’s greatest minds.
Unlike many mountain layouts, Nicklaus North features gently rolling fairways and strategic bunkering that reward thoughtful shot-making over brute strength. But watch out, water comes into play 15 of the 18 holes! In 1998, Nicklaus North hosted “Shell’s Wonderful World of Golf” competition and Fred Couples was certainly impressed by the panoramic mountain and lake views when he commented: “Whistler is the greatest place I’ve been to play golf” and that says a great deal coming from a man who has played golf all over the world.
If that wasn’t enough excitement for one day, after golf we return to the hotel to change and get ready for the ride of your life! The Peak 2 Peak Gondola is not just a mode of transportation – its an alpine spectacle. Spanning an awe-inspiring 4.4 km (2.7miles) between Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains, this world record breaking gondola holds the title for the longest and highest lift of its kind, offering breathtaking 360 degree views. Guests are suspended high above the valley floor in glass enclosed cabins that provide a thrilling view of the terrain below, making it one of the most iconic sightseeing experiences in all of Canada.
Day 5 – Saturday 15th August 2026
Its time to leave the beauty of Whistler, as after our final breakfast at the Chateau, we set off and travel south along the spectacular Sea-to-Sky Highway, a coastal route offering dramatic mountain and ocean views.
Passing Shannon Falls before continuing to Horseshoe Bay, where we will board our ferry sailing across the Strait of Georgia. This spectacular crossing offers sweeping views of coastal islands, with chances to spot eagles, seals and even whales.
Upon arriving at Vancouver Island, our journey continues through the island’s lush countryside and artisan towns. By late afternoon, we will arrive in the elegant city of Victoria, checking in to our home for the next 4 nights, the iconic Fairmont Empress.
Perched on the picturesque Inner Harbour, this hotel is a timeless icon of Canadian luxury, seamlessly blending Edwardian elegance with modern comfort and a perfect base to begin the next chapter of our Canadian adventure.
Day 6 – Sunday 16th August 2026
After enjoying breakfast at our new surroundings, we will take the short journey to the Bear Mountain Resort.
Perched high in the hills just outside Victoria, the Mountain Course is a Jack and Steve Nicklaus designed masterpiece that blends dramatic natural terrain with strategic, championship-level golf. Carved through dense forest and rocky outcrops, the course features bold elevation changes, split fairways, and sweeping views over the Strait of Juan de Fuca, Mount Baker, and even the distant Olympic Mountains. Towering firs and exposed granite frame many of the holes, creating a sense of grandeur and seclusion throughout the round.
Following golf, the group will return to the Fairmont Empress where we will all enjoy a wonderful group dinner together in their fabulous restaurant.
Day 7 – Monday 17th August 2026
After a few days on the fairways, we trade our golf clubs for binoculars and embark on a breathtaking whale watching tour from Victoria, Vancouver Island. Set against a backdrop of rugged coastline and snow-capped mountains, this unforgettable experience offers a front-row seat to nature’s grandest show—where orcas, humpbacks, and minke whales glide through the Pacific alongside sea lions and playful porpoises. It’s a perfect way to unwind together while exploring the wild beauty of Canada’s West Coast.
Knowledgeable guides enrich the journey with fascinating insights into marine life and local ecosystems, all while you enjoy a serene and intimate experience on the water. It’s the perfect balance of relaxation and adventure—an unforgettable interlude that complements the pace and elegance of our Canadian golf escape.
Day 8 – Tuesday 18th August 2026
The Valley Course at Bear Mountain offers a gentler, more forgiving complement to its dramatic sister course, winding through lush forests, natural wetlands, and scenic lowlands on the lower slopes of the resort. Also designed by Jack and Steve Nicklaus, this par-71 layout features broader fairways, less severe elevation changes, and a more relaxed rhythm.
While slightly shorter than the Mountain Course, it still demands precision and rewards smart play, particularly around its undulating greens and well-placed bunkers. The Valley Course’s tranquil setting, abundant wildlife, and views of the surrounding hills and forested ridges make it a serene and memorable experience.
After returning to the hotel, we will enjoy our final group dinner together in Victoria, where no doubt the days events will be discussed over a glass or two!
Day 9 – Wednesday 19th August 2026
Following our final breakfast in Victoria, we will transfer to the International Airport for a short flight to Calgary, Alberta. The journey offers a final glimpse of Vancouver Island’s coastal charm before heading east across the dramatic peaks of the Canadian Rockies — a scenic flight that sets the stage for the next leg of our adventure.
Upon arrival in Calgary, a private transfer will greet you at the airport for a drive into the heart of Banff National Park. As you approach the alpine town of Banff, the road climbs gently through forests and mountains, culminating in our arrival at the iconic Fairmont Banff Springs — the “Castle in the Rockies.” Nestled beside the Bow River and beneath the imposing Mount Rundle, this legendary hotel is our home for the next four nights, combining luxurious comfort with unparalleled access to nature, golf, and relaxation.
This historic hotel has been welcoming guests since 1888 with its soaring turrets, grand stone architecture, and sweeping mountain views. Whether relaxing with a cocktail in the Rundle Bar, exploring the charming town of Banff just steps away, or soaking in the outdoor hot pool beneath the stars, the Fairmont Banff Springs offers an unforgettable blend of adventure, luxury, and timeless romance — the perfect setting for the final leg of our Canadian adventure.
Day 10 – Thursday 20th August 2026
After the first breakfast in our new incredible surroundings, get ready to play one of the truly outstanding courses in Canada!
Perched high above the picturesque town of Canmore, Silvertip Golf Course delivers an exhilarating alpine golf experience like no other. Carved dramatically into the slopes of the Canadian Rockies, this Les Furber-designed masterpiece offers jaw-dropping elevation changes, panoramic mountain views, and over 600 feet of vertical rise throughout the course. Every hole feels like a postcard that’s come to life — fairways framed by rugged cliffs, greens backed by endless pine forests and wildlife roaming freely across the landscape. It’s bold, beautiful, and built to thrill, whether you’re striping a tee shot across a valley or watching your ball soar against a backdrop of snow-dusted peaks.
What truly sets Silvertip apart is the sense of adventure it brings to every round. Challenging yet playable, the course invites shot-making creativity while never losing sight of its spectacular setting. Between the ever-changing mountain light, the pristine air, and the constant sense of elevation — both literal and emotional — a round at Silvertip is far more than golf; it’s a powerful connection to nature, perfectly paired with world-class design. This is mountain golf at its most dramatic and unforgettable — and a standout highlight of our Canadian Rockies holiday.
On completion of the round, we will return to the Fairmont Banff Springs for a sumptuous group dinner at their wonderful restaurant.
Day 11 – Friday 21st August 2026
A day off from the dramatic golf today, but the high energy continues as we visit the Columbia Icefield — an unforgettable journey to the heart of the Canadian Rockies where ancient glaciers flow between towering peaks.
We will travel along the legendary Icefields Parkway, one of the most scenic drives on Earth, before stepping onto the Athabasca Glacier itself aboard a specially designed Ice Explorer vehicle. Standing on ice that’s thousands of years old, surrounded by snow-capped giants and endless sky, is a humbling, once-in-a-lifetime experience. The crisp alpine air, the sheer silence, and the staggering scale of the landscape combine to create a moment that stays with you long after you’ve returned to the warmth of the coach.
Day 12 – Saturday 22nd August 2026
We have possibly saved the best till last…
After breakfast get ready to play one of the greatest golf courses in the world!
Tucked deep within Alberta’s Banff National Park, the Banff Springs Golf Course is a masterpiece of mountain golf.
Designed in 1928 by legendary architect Stanley Thompson, the course effortlessly blends into its dramatic alpine surroundings. Each hole offers postcard-perfect views — from wide, undulating fairways framed by towering pines to elevated tee boxes that seem to hang in mid-air above the Bow River.
The signature Hole 4, known as “The Devil’s Cauldron,” features a dramatic carry over a glacial lake to a green set against the soaring cliffs of Mount Rundle — a shot you’ll remember forever.
Playing Banff Springs feels more like a cinematic experience than a round of golf. Wildlife sightings are common — elk, deer, and even the occasional bear — and the air is so crisp and clean it practically adds yards to your drives. Anchored by the iconic Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, known as the “Castle in the Rockies,” the entire setting oozes elegance, history, and grandeur. This is not just golf; it’s bucket-list golf at its most spectacular.
Its our last night together.. so we will make sure our final group dinner of this amazing tour is one to remember!
Day 13 – Sunday 23rd August 2026
