Our home for the week will be the impressive five-star Hilton Vilamoura, a stylish resort surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens and close to Vilamoura’s celebrated marina and coastline. As a particularly special feature of this holiday, all our couples will receive an upgrade from the hotel’s standard accommodation to a spacious Deluxe Plus Room.

Offering considerably more space and a separate living area away from the bedroom, these beautifully appointed rooms provide the comfort and freedom of suite-style accommodation. Whether relaxing with a drink, enjoying a quiet morning or unwinding together after golf, the additional living space will add a genuine sense of luxury to the entire stay.

Our golf programme includes Pinhal, a classic Frank Pennink design later refined by the legendary Robert Trent Jones Sr. Pine-lined fairways, rolling terrain, elevated greens and frequent changes in elevation give the course tremendous variety, while lakes, streams and strategically positioned bunkers ensure that thoughtful club selection is essential. Memorable holes include the beautiful fourth, where water guards the approach, and the picturesque eighth, played across a lake to a sloping, well-protected green.

Millennium offers a contrasting modern challenge, created by renowned architect Martin Hawtree from nine completely new holes and nine extensively redesigned holes from the original Laguna layout. Its lush fairways move between open parkland and tighter pine-lined corridors, creating an enjoyable course that is welcoming from the tee but increasingly demanding around its beautifully maintained greens. Water comes dramatically into play at several points, including the sixth, where the green sits between a lake and a bunker, before returning throughout the challenging closing stretch.

We will also enjoy an exclusive round at The Els Club Vilamoura—the first private members’ golf club in the Algarve. Created under the direction of four-time Major champion Ernie Els, it offers immaculate presentation, strategic bunkering and a collection of beautifully sculpted holes designed to test and inspire. Visitor access is extremely restricted and only a very limited number of tee times are released, making this a rare privilege for our Fairways couples.

Our golfing week will then reach a fitting finale on the magnificent Old Course, regarded as the grande dame of Algarve golf. Opened in 1969 and recently transformed through an extensive restoration, it now combines its timeless heritage with beautifully refined greens and fairways, upgraded tees, reshaped bunkers and superb playing conditions. Its gently undulating fairways wind through corridors of mature umbrella pines, creating a wonderfully atmospheric setting where accuracy, imagination and thoughtful course management are rewarded. Named Portugal’s Best Golf Course at the 2025 World Golf Awards, it promises a truly memorable final round and the perfect conclusion to an outstanding week of luxury, competition and friendship beneath the Portuguese sunshine.
